This was the first linocut I made in the Leicester Linocut Series which now has featured over 40 of the city’s interesting, important or just beautiful landmarks. I belong to the Leicester Society of Artists and in 2012 we had an exhibition with the theme ‘The City’ which prompted me to feature this and two other buildings that were on my doorstep. The Museum sits on a beautiful and unique 18th Century tree-lined walkway into the city, and I use it as much as I can!
